Moeller shrugged off a second quarter delay to put 20 points in the frame and helped the Crusaders take a 34-17 win on the road at Bishop Hartley. TJ Rotello had double duty, passing for 185 yards while gaining 122 yards on the ground and three points. Rotello scores twice in the fourth quarter and uses Hartley for a 1-0 start from Moeller.

Princeton opened its season on the road against Greater Miami Conference opponent Hamilton. Princeton Mekhi Lynn completed 11 of 23 attempts at 191 yards, including a 55 yard pass for Lamont Jackson in the second quarter. Hamilton responded with a 70-yard pass from Quincy Simms Marshall to Daryan Bowling. Hamilton’s defense was able to force two turnovers during the game while none were committed.

Lakota East opened its season on the road against Sycamore. Lakota East opened the game with a 14-0 run, including a 42-yard pass from TJ Kathman to Jack Hartmann. The East Hawks were able to stay on top until the last ride of the game. Sycamore’s William Ingle completed a one-yard run to finish the game 24-34.

Vince Ringland’s 29-yard goal against Ibrahima Niang made all the difference in the Eagles’ 28:24 win over Oak Hills. After Oak Hills took a 24-14 lead early in the third quarter, Milford scored two goals, including the Nianig catch 51 seconds ahead, to overtake Oak Hills and start a fight in the fourth quarter. The Highlanders had the ball three times in the final quarter, but Milford only allowed 36 yards in the entire quarter, two of which ended up on the game’s last two trips.

An offensive in the second quarter turned a narrow win into a dominant one for Indian Hill. A 57 yard score from quarterback Ty Thornton to Mateo Lopez set the scene in the first quarter. Antwan Peek Jr. and Charlie Sumerel added quick results in the second quarter before Thornton scored two more points, both for Luke Hammond. Thornton was 7-9 over for 142 yards and three touchdowns plus another quick score.

Pagan, Mitchell and back CJ Hester fought for one goal each in the last three frames after finishing the first quarter 0-0.

Both Chaminade Julienne and Harrison struggled to succeed on offense, but a fourth-quarter touchdown pushed the Eagles over Harrison. David Frederick Jr., tied between 14 and 14 in the fourth quarter, scored a goal to place the Eagles between 21 and 14, but the game remained nearly 10 minutes. The defenses of Chaminade Julienne held strong, allowing only a single field gate the rest of the way to keep the wildcats off.
