A fin lighting ceremony was held at Cincinnati FC’s West End Stadium on March 18 to prepare for the season opener this spring.
The ceremony demonstrated the stadium’s unique lighting system, which has never been used on a stadium facade before.
“The HD-LED outdoor lighting shows unique movement sequences and makes the West End Stadium one of the most distinctive sports venues in the world,” said a press release from FC Cincinnati.
The team recently announced that they will play in the game against Inter Miami CF, which will serve as both the home game of the 2021 season and the first Major League Soccer game at West End Stadium.
The game kicks off at 4pm on May 16 and will air nationwide on FOX and FOX Deportes.
Tickets are only available in season membership packages.
Construction work on the West End Stadium began in 2018 and will be completed in time for the home game. The stadium will hold around 26,000 fans and have a 360-degree roof. Take a quick look at CityBeat’s latest tour.
