CINCINNATI – The 2022 college football recruitment class could be the most unpredictable in a long time. High school prospects have not been personally assessed or are prohibited from making recruiting visits for more than a year. The open-door transfer portal and the expected one-time, impunity-free transfer rule will drive recruiting between universities and the creation of duty rosters into uncharted territory. And the NCAA, which gives players an extra season of eligibility, will have programs that arbitrarily balance their rosters for the next few seasons.
