After a year-long hiatus, the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show is back! The popular event will return on April 9-10 with an updated health and safety log – much to the delight of fashion historians, collectors, and aficionados who religiously attend the show to discover, read, and hear pieces from the past 100 years to buy.
Over 40 (instead of 80) of the country’s best vendors and retailers will settle in the Metropolitan Pavilion at 125 West 18th Street for the indoor shopping experience. Of course there is a reduced capacity this year as well as a wider, open floor plan, additional space between the cabins, increased cleaning and no food or drinks inside. Masks and temperature tests are also mandatory.
According to a media release, the event is welcoming back many of their regular vendors: BUIS NY, Icon Style, Eveliina Vintage, Omnia Vintage, 22 Print Studio, Recursive, Indigo Style Vintage, Malenas Vintage Boutique, Incogneeto, Mint Market and Vintage Black Lettering. New this time are STB Vintage, Upper East Vintage, Vintage Treasure Snack and The Green Giraffe. People who join at home can also shop virtually on Instagram via @thevintageshow.
Timed tickets can now be purchased online in advance for $ 10, or you can get admission for $ 15 that day. (Though from experience, expect long lines of Octogenarian Birds of Paradise that Bill Cunningham put on the menu!)
