BEIJING, April 4 (Xinhua) – The following is a recap of the science and technology news released from China.
SCI-TECH INNOVATION IPOs
China’s Securities Commission has approved the IPO of four companies on the Science and Technology Innovation Committee.
Suzhou Mingzhi Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Xinyichang Technology Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Xunjiexing Technology Corp., Ltd. are listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange’s Sci-Tech Innovation Board, commonly known as STAR Market, according to the China Securities Regulatory Commission.
ROCKET DRIVE
According to its developer, China has successfully tested a 10-ton propulsion liquid-oxygen-methane engine.
The engine, named TQ, was developed independently by the private rocket company LandSpace.
TUNNEL BORING MACHINE
A local, oversized tunnel boring machine rolled off the assembly line in the east Chinese province of Jiangsu.
The machine, named Xingye, is 130 meters long and weighs around 4,500 tons. Equipped with a number of innovative technologies, it can assemble segments while tunneling, which greatly improves its work efficiency.
The machine is commissioned with the construction of an expressway project in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong.
