The rotation should start the season
Cincinnati’s rotation is planned for earlier this year. How long it will last is up in the air, and both Michael Lorenzen and Sonny Gray will make strides when they return from their injuries. Both hope to be back soon and be ready. Luis Castillo and Tyler Mahle will start the first two games of the season. After that, the order is not set, but Wade Miley, Jeff Hoffman and José De León will make up the rest of the rotation.
No Joey Votto today
After playing Votto on consecutive days, Joey doesn’t go on a road trip to face the Brewers. But as Bobby Nightengale of the Cincinnati Enquirer discovered this morning, he could play the simulated Reds game at Goodyear today, according to acting manager Freddie Benavides.
Nick Senzel on the field for the B game today
Charlie Goldsmith of the Cincinnati Enquirer took Nick Senzel out on the field today at Goodyear for the Reds B game. He is dealing with a slight groin strain that has kept him out of the regular line-up for the past three days.

Does Kyle Holder make the Red List?
Over at RedsMinorLeagues.com, I wrote this morning about how difficult it is to get infielder Kyle Holder on the Reds roster this year. In another era, a better argument could be made to wear it, but in today’s game, it’s a tougher sell.
