August 25, 2021 // Franchising.com // CINCINNATI, Ohio – Slim Chickens announced today that it has signed a contract for 18 locations in cities across Ohio and Kentucky. Dominic Gatta and Jeff Bedlion will bring the restaurants to several key regions including Cincinnati, Dayton and Northern Kentucky.
“Slim Chickens is an ideal brand for us. Not only does it offer high quality, delicious food, it is also backed by an experienced management team that we believe in, ”said Gatta. “The more we learned about Slims, the more we knew we wanted to be part of this amazing concept.”
Seasoned entrepreneurs Gatta and Bedlion developed and operated Freddy’s Frozen Custard across Ohio. The duo initially teamed up on a few real estate projects and continued their partnership with this deal. Their combined experience and knowledge are perfect for growing lean chickens.
“Dominic and Jeff are ideal franchise partners to help us grow,” said Jackie Lobdell, Vice President of Franchise Development at Slim Chickens. “The operational experience of Freddy’s Frozen Custard combined with her knowledge of commercial real estate and construction makes her ready for the start. We can’t wait to see them grow Slim’s across Ohio and Northern Kentucky. “
The brand prides itself on freshly prepared food and a strong, dedicated fan base, also known as “slimthusiasts”. Slim Chickens has distinguished itself in the industry by offering high quality foods and 17 homemade dipping sauces that allow customers to enjoy a different flavor profile each time they visit. The menu is wider than many in this segment and features chicken tenders, fresh salads, sandwiches, chicken and waffles, chicken wings and unique side dishes. Fans also resonate with the Mediterranean contemporary appearance and the open and inviting design of the Slim Chickens restaurants, reflecting the brand’s hospitality.
