Science can never refute religion

The Covid vaccine arrived just in time for Thanksgiving. Now the end of Covid comes right on time for Easter. Hallelujah!

As I got older, I got better at finding mystical life patterns that strengthen my faith.

In Mississippi, Covid is on its last legs. Falls are a tenth of the January peak. The same goes for deaths, most of which occurred in mid-winter but still make it to the Department of Health’s statistics office.

It’s a similar picture across the country, though the decline isn’t quite as dramatic as in Mississippi.

Mississippi is a leader in vaccine implementation. The Mississippi National Guard has done a phenomenal job with all of the hospitals and clinics. Good work team! Kudos all around.

Let’s hope this isn’t a sucker like last July when Covid appeared to have peaked but came back roaring. This virus is unpredictable.

But this time we have the vaccines. I believe this is the end of the epidemic.

We can’t give the vaccine credit for the decline as most of the drop occurred long before the vaccine was administered. Herd immunity has started. The vaccine is the perfect backup.

Over 300,000 Mississippians had confirmed infections. There are five unreported infections for every reported infection, according to the CDC. That’s half the population in the state. Herd immunity set in much earlier than the experts had predicted.

So far, it’s not nearly as bad as the Spanish flu, which killed one in 152 Americans. Covid has killed one in 588 people. Most of the deaths from Spanish flu were young people in their twenties. Covid killed the elderly. If you look at the years of life lost, the Spanish flu was 73 times worse. We should be grateful for that.

We should be grateful for the amazingly rapid development of new vaccines. This will be a boon to humanity well beyond Covid. Mankind has made great strides in our epoch-making fight against viruses.

I get my shot this week, Pfizer at the Medical Mall. I had Covid in November, a very mild case, but I’m not taking any chances. I think you are crazy for not getting the vaccine. Plus, the tiny vaccine microchip the government inserts into your brain can hold free music! (Was just a joke.)

I love my easter pillar. I am allowed to play a preacher. I apologize to the hundreds of great Jackson pastors who poached your professional lawn. I’ll try my best to get it right.

It’s ironic that Americans can believe all sorts of crazy conspiracy theories, but when it comes to believing that Christ rose from the dead, too many Americans get rational.

Human rationalism can be useful. There is no point in putting your hand in an open flame. But rationalism has its limits. For example, our eyes only see 0.0035 percent of the electromagnetic spectrum. Don’t see shouldn’t believe.

Do you remember the popular movie The Matrix? The idea was that human reality was an artificial simulation created by super-intelligent robots. The film caught the nation’s imagination and grossed half a billion at the box office.

Here’s a tip: we’re actually in a simulation. It’s called “Reality”. And it’s designed by God. Since it is his simulation, he can make reality do whatever he wants. He can stop the sun. He can share the Red Sea. It can cause ten epidemics in Egypt that start and end in a blink of an eye.

He can even raise people from the dead. God is sovereign and can do what he wants. Fortunately, he loves us and loves the good. Scrape that off, God is goodness, light, justice. Every good idea that man has comes from the Spirit of God.

Many scientists hate this fact. It threatens them. It robs them of their strength. It hurts your ego. Just like Adam and Eve wanted to know what God knows. They ate the apple and created sin and death. Bad choose.

Deuteronomy 29:29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.”

Who doesn’t want to know the secret? Who doesn’t want to be god? That is why we are all wretched sinners. Happiness arises when you properly understand your place in the universal schemes of things. We are higher than the animals, lower than the angels and definitely not God.

I am not against science at all. In fact, I love keeping up with the latest in theoretical physics. Science only reveals to people how God works. God can never refute it. That’s impossible. And God will only reveal what he wants to reveal.

That’s why I love quantum physics. It so perfectly shows the limits of man and the sovereignty of God. If this statement confuses you, go to You Tube and search for “Delayed Selection of Quantum Quenchers Experiment”. It will blow your mind and give you all the scientific evidence of God’s existence you will ever need.

My faith made the past year a lot easier for me. Every hair on my head is numbered. All my worries won’t add a second to my life. Death is the beginning of something much better than life.

My faith is the most precious thing in my life. How did i get it? I asked God to do it. One day, long time ago, while walking along the beach, I asked God why He made my life so rich and simple. Then I said you can take all these things away and give me the only thing that really matters to me – a solid belief. The next day, I crashed my plane for half a million dollars.

Since that moment my life has been full of struggle, struggle creates endurance, endurance creates character. Character creates faith. God answered my prayer and for that I am eternally grateful.

According to a survey, the main reason people don’t believe in Christianity is because it doesn’t work. God doesn’t answer prayers, say unbelievers. I remember the line in Janis Joplin’s song: “Lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz? My friends all have Porsches, I have to make up for it.

No, God only answers the prayers that are in His will. God has much higher goals for you than a fancy car. But I will guarantee you this: if you pray for faith day after day – and I mean really pray for faith. And really mean it. And go to church and read the bible, God will give you faith. And this belief will bring you infinitely more joy than any material object on earth could ever give you.

There are four main forces in the universe: nuclear, electromagnetism, radioactivity, and gravity. If any of these four forces were changed by 10 to 50 or so, the universe could not exist. The required precision of all four forces is roughly one in ten followed by a thousand zeros. Who could think this was a random accident?

And that’s just this universe. The best mathematical solution to bring all four forces into harmony is multiverse theory. There are an infinite number of universes.

So if there ever feels like the universe is spinning around you, maybe it does! God’s majesty is infinitely greater than we can understand!

Jesus Christ, who rose from the dead? It seems incredible to us humans. So unbelievable, we’re still talking about it 2,000 years later. But for God it was a breeze.

He is risen! Believe. Read the Bible. Go to the church. Keep praying for faith. Accept your wonderful role as a child of God. In doing so, you will have riches far beyond any riches on the planet.
