Roy Rogers, Lure of Lucy dominates for the ‘Big Sub’ Memorial Trophy

ROY ROGERS and LURE OF LUCY overtook their rivals and won their respective divisions of the Errol ‘Big Sub’ Subratie Memorial Trophy on Tuesday on a mile in Caymanas Park.

Weighing 112 pounds on Nicholas Hibbert’s claim, ROY ROGERS easily made it through the entire race with a time of 1: 39.2 in the first division.

The gray accelerated from MARQUESAS from the home turn and won with 11 and three-quarter lengths at odds of 3-2.

LURE OF LUCY, with odds of 8-5, completed a hat-trick of wins in the second division with 1: 40.1.
The three-year-old filly bred in the USA shook off SUPERLUMINAL before holding its co-importer GO DEH GIRL by one and a half lengths in a driving finish.

Philip Feanny’s FAULT LINE, a 3-5 favorite, closed late with the win of driver Shane Richardson, who narrowly landed the Heroes Day Stakes Trophy by seven lanes and took a 4-1 chance on SLAMSILANO on the wire.

The race continues on Saturday.
