In this semester, the students in our scientific laboratories for biology and chemistry carry out experiments with remote “laboratory partners” in real time.
During this semester, science students had the opportunity to complete their science laboratories in person or remotely. This has led to an innovative type of science lab class where each student in the lab works with a distant “lab partner” to complete the experiment together. The students working in the laboratory pass on experimental details, observations and measurements to the distant students via zoom video conference. All students, both face-to-face and remote, are subject to the same standards of readiness.
This fall, personal labs will be offered in a variety of courses including General Biology, Human Anatomy, Microbiology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and General Physics. All laboratories adhere to strict social distancing guidelines, and CDC regulations are exceeded to minimize the chance of virus transmission.
