Northern Kentucky Montessori Academy Partners with Horizon Community Funds

Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky now hosts the Northern Kentucky Montessori Academy Fund in support of the Crescent Springs-based school offering half-day and full-day Montessori education programs for children aged second through sixth.

“The Northern Kentucky Montessori Academy is a tremendous educational benefit for our young students,” said Nancy Grayson, president of the Horizon Community Fund. “Our fund partnership with them is a natural extension of your fundraising and awareness-raising efforts in Northern Kentucky, and we look forward to serving you in that role.”

The Northern Kentucky Montessori Academy (NKMA) offers an authentic academic Montessori curriculum for individualized learning that optimizes the intellectual, social and emotional development of every child. The children are guided by qualified and certified teachers who follow the Montessori philosophy. NKMA is the only school in Northern Kentucky that is accredited by the American Montessori Society. The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services licenses the School’s Early Childhood program, which is rated 5 stars by the Kentucky All Stars program.

“This partnership gives our organization the opportunity to expand our strategic initiatives to secure a new campus, strengthen our commitment to Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI) initiatives, and make Montessori accessible to more children and families in the Northern Kentucky community make, ”said Lisa Dieso, NKMA Director for Academic Excellence.

The fund launches as the Northern Kentucky region prepares for the opening of the annual grant of Endow Kentucky Tax Credits on July 1st. There is a total of $ 1 million in credits available but will be distributed across the Commonwealth, underscoring the need for local donors to act quickly to submit their applications to take advantage of the incentive.

Taxpayers, individuals, and corporations are eligible for an income tax credit of up to 20 percent (maximum of $ 10,000 per individual / corporation or $ 20,000 per couple filing together) per tax year. Interested donors are encouraged to contact Horizon Community Fund President Nancy Grayson at 859.757.1552 or [email protected] to begin the process.

Fund partnerships with Horizon Community Funds offer donors a flexible way to support their preferred nonprofit organization or charity. Donors can choose to make an endowed gift to support the charity’s mission for generations to come, or choose to make a non-endowed donation that will provide funding for needs in northern Kentucky. Horizon Community Funds provides donors and fund owners with a deep connection to northern Kentucky, including its not-for-profit organizations and needs.
