NKY Chamber is now accepting nominations for the Leadership Northern Kentucky Class 2021

The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the Leadership Northern Kentucky (Leadership NKY) class of 2022. This is the 43rd year of the program, which began in 1969.

Leadership NKY is a nine month program designed to help develop business and community leaders by using the community as a classroom to give participants an understanding of the strengths and challenges of the Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati area and skills convey the necessary motivation and commitment to involve others in a collaborative effort to address them.

“Leadership Northern Kentucky is the most fulfilling work experience I’ve ever had,” said Mark Collier, president of the Leadership NKY Class of 2020 and owner / editor of Living Media and Fort Thomas Matters. “The relationships I have built with my classmates and session leaders, and the intense engagement with our region, have made me a better leader, problem solver, and empathetic collaborator. I can’t think of a more meaningful business leadership experience in Northern Kentucky than Leadership NKY. ”

Leadership NKY participants are selected from a variety of professional backgrounds and civil interests. Each cohort receives extensive training from industry leaders on a variety of topics including economic development, education, government, and inclusive leadership. More than 1,400 alumni have come together under the Leadership NKY program to make a difference in the community.

Along with a fully completed application, interested individuals are asked to provide two references and must have the full support of the company / organization they represent and their employer or manager. Individuals can nominate themselves or someone else. Tuition fees are $ 3,000 for NKY Chamber members and $ 3,500 for future NKY Chamber members. A maximum of 50 applications will be selected.

Stacie Strotman, who completed the program in 2009, will preside over the class of 2022.

“Leadership in Northern Kentucky has been a life-changing experience both professionally and personally,” said Strotman, executive director of Covington Partners. “The unique opportunity to learn deeply with 50 executives from across NKY has strengthened my commitment to the work still to be done and the role I play in making NKY a better place to live, learn and grow. I look forward to leading the class from 2022 and I look forward to what this class will do in the years to come. “

The completed applications must be submitted by Friday, May 28, 2021, 5 p.m. at the latest. The organizers will announce the class of 2022 in July. The meetings will take place from August 2021 to May 2022.
