Nancy F. Schotten, Hubbard, Ohio Obituary

HUBBARD, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Nancy Florence Schotten, 81, entered her heavenly home at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio on Thursday afternoon, June 24, 2021.

She was born on May 16, 1940 in Marathon, Ohio, to Glenn and Eunice Duchemin Leach, and lived in Hubbard for a long time.

Ms. Schotten graduated from Marathon High School and attended Bible College for 2 years.

She was employed at Marysville Memorial Hospital and was a nursing assistant who retired after 30 years.

Nancy was a member of the Hubbard Church of the Nazarene, served on the church council, served as missionary president, and served on various committees.

Her husband James L. Schotten, whom she married on August 27, 1960, died on September 21, 2005.

Nancy leaves behind a daughter, Donna Lynne Schotten of Columbus; two sisters, Elaine (Frank) Grafton of Columbus and Violet Caldwell of Cincinnati, Ohio; she also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Douglas Lee Scots; a sister, Joyce Leach and a brother, William Leach.

Family and friends can call Hubbard Church of the Nazarene on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, 10:00 am – 11:30 am.

The funeral will follow at 11:30 am at Hubbard Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Michael Byus.

The funeral will take place in the Hubbard Union Cemetery.
