Lima Police Department receives new technology to help with an Allen County investigation

The Lima Police are looking forward to new technology to help them investigate.

The Lima City Council has just approved the purchase of CellHawk. It is a web-based program that helps in logging and tracking data from cell phones, computers and other devices. It also helps in mapping various pieces of information in an investigation as the case progresses.

Jesse Harrod, Detective in Lima, explains: “As soon as we get it (data) in any way, we get this information to help it process it. Basically, this speeds up the process by which we can get this information in a usable way. “

No word on when CellHawk will be up and running.
