KY GOP joins Commissioner Quarles’ call for a reopening date for Kentucky

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Republican Party of Kentucky today joined Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles’ appeal to Governor Andy Beshear to announce a date for Kentucky to be fully reopened:

“We are proud to work with Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles to urge Governor Andy Beshear to fully reopen Kentucky’s economy. While other states in our region are planning a full reopening – including those with Democratic and Republican governors – Governor Beshear is once again leaving Kentucky behind when it comes to advocating for small businesses hit hard by the overreach of unilateral dictates.

“Whether it’s constitutional officials like Commissioner Quarles and others who stand up for our families, businesses and communities, or our lawmakers who legislate or go to court to hold the governor accountable, Republicans take the lead at the safe reopening – while Beshear drags his feet.

“The Kentuckians have had enough of Governor Beshear’s political stance and gameplay at the reopening. We support the efforts of all of our Republican leaders, including our constitutional officials and lawmakers, to work for the reopening of Kentucky. “- Kentucky Republican Party Chairman Mac Brown
