Kentucky Girl Scouts urge the corporate community to buy excess biscuits

Kentucky’s Wilderness Road (GSKWR) Girl Scouts urge local businesses to buy the remaining 1,440 biscuit inventory. Kentucky Girl Scout’s cookie season has been extended to Sunday April 11th to meet the sales target.

Last year, the American Homeland Title Agency, with offices in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati, purchased $ 10,000 worth of cookies to be used for closing real estate. This year the title agency bought 2,000 cookies for an additional $ 10,000.

The funds from the annual cookie sales flow into the operating costs of the GSKWR. The program teaches life skills such as goal setting, decision making, money management and social skills, and creates entrepreneurial opportunities for Kentucky’s Girl Scouts.

As pandemic and weather restrictions have impacted cookie sales, GSKWR is encouraging businesses and corporations to purchase the remaining cookie inventory to support their mission.

All organizations planning to purchase a large amount of cookies before April 11, 2021 are encouraged to contact GSKWR Product Sales Director Carolyn McNerney at 1-800-475-2621, option 2, ext. 1. 1312. Or email her [email protected].
