Howard Wilkinson joined the WVXU news team as a political reporter and columnist in April 2012 after covering local, state and national politics for The Cincinnati Enquirer for 30 years. On this page you will find his weekly column Politically Spoken; Monday morning’s political chats with News Director Maryanne Zeleznik and other messages from Wilkinson. A native of Dayton, Ohio, Wilkinson has reported on all of Ohio’s governor races and 16 presidential nomination conventions since 1974. In addition to politics, Wilkinson covered the 2001 Cincinnati Riots, the Lucasville Prison Riot in 1993, the Air Canada plane crash at Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky International Airport in 1983, and the Ohio River floods in 1997. And in the face of it his passion for baseball, you may find some stories about the Cincinnati Reds here from time to time.
