FedEx announced Tuesday that it is employing 700 people at its northern Kentucky warehouse.
The shipping giant operates a warehouse in Independence.
The growth of e-commerce, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, prompted the company to increase its workforce. Open positions are for package handlers.
Interested parties who must be at least 18 years old can apply at GroundWarehouseJobs.fedex.com.
The company said it is taking the necessary precautions to keep its workforce safe and healthy during the pandemic.
The opportunities offer “competitive wages,” says a press release, along with additional wages for weekend work. Day and night shifts are available.
