Cincinnati soccer players to SEC, Big Ten, ACC

Starting Wednesday, just after 7:00 a.m., Greater Cincinnati’s top soccer players will sign letters of intent to play college football at numerous colleges and universities.

The official early signing phase for football runs from December 16 to 18. The traditional day of college football signing is February 3rd. This period runs until April 1st. In recent years, however, the top recruits have focused on the December date.

Most of the local prospects have given verbal pledges, but there are still a few who haven’t made the call yet. The following is a rundown of known signings that will take place on Wednesday for athletes moving to Division I of college football.

Greater Catholic League South

St. Xavier

The 2020 Division I State Champion bombers have a wide receiver Liam Clifford Who will sign with Penn State and defensive captain Matt Devine who is directed to the Air Force Academy together with his teammate Gio Albanese.

The space

2020 Division II semi-finalist La Salle will send their entire Defensive Secondary to Division I institutions as a Devonta Smith is to be signed with Alabama, Jaylen Johnson with Ohio State, Iesa Jarmon with Cincinnati and Jaymar Mundy with the Miami RedHawks.

Older ones

Elder tight end / defensive lineman David Larkins will sign with Appalachian State, offensive lineman Drew pelvic head with Toledo and Linebacker Joey Stemler with Ball State.


The crusaders will have an offensive lineman Landon Fickell Signing with the Cincinnati Bearcats and Nate Pabst with bowling green.

Greater Miami Conference


Malik Verdon Anyone who has played quarterback, receiver, and multiple defense positions for the Big Blue will sign with Iowa State, where they will likely be a security.

Offensive lineman Paul Rodriguez will make it official by signing with Kentucky.


Cameron Junior will bring his lineback talent to the University of Cincinnati.


The Vikings will have security Leroy Bowers Signed with Cincinnati.


GMC Defensive Player of the Year Dontay Corleone will also be a Cincinnati Bearcat.

Back race Jaydan Mayes will sign with the United States Military Academy at West Point while Offensive Lineman Ethan Tyla will sign with southern Illinois.

Defensive lineman Andre Proffitt will sign with Akron.

Eastern Cincinnati Conference

Walnut Hills

Offensive lineman Mao Glynn will sign with the Cincinnati Bearcats. receiver Nick Presley is on the way to Ball State.

Winton Woods

Division II runners-up Winton Woods will have linebackers Andrew “Bam” BookerSigned with Maryland and defensive backs Caleb Tubbs and Daylan Long Signed with Miami University. Co-defender back Tamarion Crumpley was signed to Minnesota, but canceled and could sign elsewhere.

Miami Valley Conference

Roger Bacon

With numerous records for the Southwest District Player of the Year Corey kiner iScheduled to sign with Louisiana State University. Kiner signed up to LSU last May.
