As the weather gets cooler, more Cincinnati restaurants are considering creative ways to safely expand restaurants in COVID-19. Heated igloos have become the popular choice for several restaurants that are safe to dine in colder weather. Restaurant and bar owners like Jake Rouse of Braxton Brewing know that some people are questioning the concept of essentially creating indoor spaces for the spread of COVID-19. “We leave a gap between each and every reservation and run a full sterilization process that we do in the taprooms anyway,” said Rouse. Restaurants say they follow safety protocols, including social distancing, Catch-a-Fire Pizza at Blue Ash said they allow 30 minutes between each igloo booking to give their staff time to thoroughly clean and disinfect them.
