Cincinnati Bearcats Forward enters the transfer portal

Prince Toyambi, who did not play a game for the Cincinnati Bearcats after his red shirt in his first season at UC and was missing last season due to a medical problem, enters the transfer portal according to an announcement on Thursday evening via Twitter.

Toyambi underwent successful surgery to correct a heart problem last October.

The 6-foot-7,225-pound Toyambi is from the Congo and attended high school in Fresno, California.

“Prince is one of the most sincere young men I’ve come across in my 20+ years as a coach,” Bearcats head coach John Brannen said in a statement when Toyambi underwent surgery. “We are thrilled with his successful surgery and look forward to working with him throughout his recovery.”

LaQuill Hardnett, who joined Buffalo as a freshman after redshirting last July and didn’t see the game as Bearcat, was part of the same recruiting class.
