Big guests planned for local sports celebrations

If you’re looking for an evening of sports stories or introductions to the Hall of Fame, here’s a list of upcoming events in the greater Cincinnati and northern Kentucky area.

January 18th: Luke Fickell is the main guest at Roger Bacon High School’s Sports Day.

January 25th: Anderson High School will have spokesman Sean Casey for their sports bachelorette party.

January 27th: The eighth annual Tiger Ball in Support of Athletics at Loveland High School.

January 27th: Purcell Marian will host its first annual poker tournament for the benefit of its sports division.

31 January: La Salle High School is celebrating its 34th annual stag do with speakers Rollie Fingers and Bronson Arroyo.

February 8: The St. Xavier High School Hall of Fame Dinner will feature Sean Casey as the keynote speaker.

February 8: Elder High School will hold its 42nd Annual Sports Day with speaker Solomon Wilcots.

21st of February: University of Cincinnati Sports Director Mike Bohn will be the keynote speaker at Moeller High School Sports Day.

February 24th: Sycamore High School will hold its annual winter social.

8th of March: At Milford High School, former Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith will introduce featured speaker Jim Tressel.

March 10th: McNicholas High School celebrates “McNick at Night”.

April 14th: The fourth annual booster bash for Lakota West High School.

April 27: Eldest graduate and Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph will be the keynote speaker at the Taylor High School celebration. For more information or to reserve tickets, contact Jeff Langdon at (513) 869-9588.

Here’s the action in northern Kentucky:

January 20th: Highlands Booster Bash at the Highlander Event Center

January 24th: CovCath HOF Induction The Gardens, Park Hills. A special video presentation about the CovCath Hall of Fame will take place from 6:00 p.m. until dinner. Introductions begin at 7:45 p.m. with 1998 graduate Joe Danneman, sports director of Fox 19 television, serving as master of ceremonies.

February 5th: Newport Hall of Fame night at the basketball game

February 17th: Introduction to the NewCath Hall of Fame and dinner at 6 p.m. in the school gym

April 24th: Ryle SportsFest in the Baptist Church of Florence. Hall of Fame newcomers are honored as well as Ryle student athletes. Tickets are available from the Ryle head coaches.
