People with disabilities are an integral part of society and an advanced world should include environments that are conducive to their reduced mobility. In this case, a teacher and ten of his brilliant students built a wheelchair with a cart attached so that a fellow teacher’s husband could take their new baby for a walk.
According to The Washington Post, Matt Zigler asked his students in their creative lab to build a wheelchair that would be compatible with a stroller.

A colleague, Chelsie King, 32, spoke to Zigler about how she and her husband were expecting a baby in June and had difficulty finding a wheelchair that could be used with a stroller.
Zigler and the student group took this as an opportunity to make their own invention.
Chelsea King’s husband, Jeremy, 37, had a brain tumor that was successfully removed in 2017. Unfortunately, he presented him with mobility and language problems.
“Even walking is so incredibly difficult for me,” Jeremy told the Washington Post.

From November last year to March 2021, these students were motivated to complete the project they called “WheeStroll”.
What they did was borrow a wheelchair from the sisters’ office, bring along two strollers and a car seat, all of which were donated to the class for this particular experiment.
They worked with the Kings to personalize WheeStroll for Jeremy, studying things like the weather and what gear he would want and need. Students also considered how to customize the equipment for the age of the child.
These opportunities for young children are so empowering and enable them to continue looking forward to creating new inventions. Your ideas are confirmed.
We also applaud this ingenious invention that will make it easier for Jeremy to parenting when it comes to traveling to malls, parks and other places.
